Model Based Systems Engineer

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design, development and integration of complex systems for our customers.

In this role you will support both rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development. This individual will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and support all aspects of systems engineering from requirements development to verification and validation.

This role is based out of our Headquarters in Huntsville, AL and will require travel to our facility in Hollywood, AL on an as needed basis.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Position

• Requirements decomposition
• Development and execution of integration, verification and functional check out plans
• Functional and physical system modeling
• Coordination with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
• Assist in developing and implementing Model Based System Engineering processes, guidelines, and tools
• Use of analytical tools to validate system performance to design requirements

Basic Qualifications :

• Experience in applying systems engineering processes and principles
• Experience / domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
• Development of technical documentation
• Current Department of Defense Security Clearance or capable of obtaining

Desired Qualifications :

• Experience with MBSE tools and processes (e.g., Catia No Magic)
• Comfortable working in a prototyping environment
• Working knowledge of functional and instrumentation diagrams
• Experience modeling or simulating systems
• Experience with the coordination and conducting of design review activities

Location : This individual will work onsite in Huntsville, Alabama and may include trips to our testing facility in nearby Hollywood, AL as needed.
