Professional Development Program

The Professional Development Program (PDP) focuses on developing recent college graduates into high performing team members equipped with the skills and broad business knowledge to become future Niagara leaders.

Over the next 18-24 months, this rotational program will give you the opportunity to experience several different assignments in a variety of departments that will lead you to a role that best utilizes your skills.

Additionally, the PDP supports your growth through exposure to business leadership, mentorship, professional skill training, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Specifically, you will participate in learning sessions covering topics like professional communication, negotiation skills, emotional intelligence, and others!

Program Overview

  • Program Length : The typical program length is 18 to 24 months. The exact length of the program is driven by your rotation plan, which takes into account your educational and professional background, skills and interests in specific business areas at Niagara.
  • Rotation Plan : PDP participants will rotate through identified core departments to gain business knowledge and perspective.

They will also work with their Leader (PDP Champion) and the Talent Development Team to build additional experiences that benefit the participant's development the most.

Plant Rotation : Every participant in the PDP is required to fulfill a 4-month Manufacturing Plant rotation as a part of the program.

We believe it is important to experience where the heart of our business is and to have the opportunity to get a first-hand glimpse of what makes Niagara's Manufacturing Plants the most advanced in the country.

Plant rotations may occur at any of our facilities, whether within or outside California. For rotations at out-of-state plants, Niagara will cover travel, lodging, and transportation expenses during this period.

Mentorship Support : Each PDP will be paired with a Mentor who will support their career journey at Niagara by providing professional guidance and helping them grow their network across the broader business.
