Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking an entry-level software developer capable of writing code to facilitate the simulation of U.
S. Army Air and Missile Defense models and perform analyses on simulation output to assess system performance. It is essential the candidate be a team player capable of integrating with a collaborative multi-contractor / government work environment as well as be able to perform independently on assigned tasks.
Tasks will include software development activities for the creation, maintenance, and debugging of simulation code that models complex military systems and analysis tools for aiding in the visualization, interpretation, and presentation of simulation results.
Additionally, this position will be performing system, subsystem, and detailed level analyses on discrete and real-time digital simulations as well as data collected during actual ground test events.
Ideal candidates will have experience with Linux environments and be proficient at C++ or Python. The candidate must meet the requirements to obtain a U.
S. final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or other STEM degree from an ABET accredited school.
- 0 - 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience with Linux environments.
- Proficiency in C++ or Python,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- No travel is anticipated with this position.
Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information.
Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
