Job Description
Head of North American Business Information & Analytics
The successful candidate will lead two teams : Financial Analytics and Research. These teams support our client's investment banking offices worldwide.
They collaborate with several divisions within the bank, including Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets, Investment Management, and Risk Management.
This role will be responsible for setting priorities, general project / team oversight, and understanding / deploying the resources required for a wide variety of requirements.
- This position operates in an outsourced capacity, servicing an investment banking client of RRD.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the team
- Oversee staff of approximately 15 professionals in North America
- Analyze performance and key metrics and compare to benchmark expectations from client and advise and counsel team members on their performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Proactively address, handle, and rectify all client and team concerns
- Champion project management excellence
- Develop and maintain best-in-class project tracking methods
- Implement processes and tools that increase efficiency and ability to deliver exceptional solutions
- Translate the needs of internal partners to the leadership team and ensure expectations are met
- Manage changes in priorities and implement plans to meet changing business needs
- Assist in developing and growing the team, interviewing
- Coordinate and communicate across all global offices to create a unified vision for the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required
- Master's degree / MBA preferred
- 5+ years of relatable experience required
- Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, or Brokerage experience preferred
- Knowledge of business planning and ability to build strong, cohesive, and high-performing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication across global teams
- Seasoned managerial skills preferred
- Strong work ethic and client service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and deadline-driven environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Maintain professional conduct and a positive attitude at all times
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint preferred
- Experience with research activities, including macroeconomic, company, and industry research preferred
- Experience with Capital IQ, Eikon, Bloomberg, PitchBook, EMIS, and Fitch preferred
- SQL and other database experience is a plus
- Highly motivated and eager to roll up your sleeves to make things happen
- Able to review / analyze existing processes and recommend improvements - push the status quo and strategize, plan, and execute on new visions
- Track record in managing ambitious strategic and operationally complex projects with competing priorities delivered by cross-functional teams
- Comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, and informed risk-taking
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $62, 800 to $111,400 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.
The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to : education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.
In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
