Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead AV Technician with a strong focus on installations to join our team.

The ideal candidate will oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems in various environments.

This role requires excellent technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality AV solutions.

This position features local travel around the MD / DC area with company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities :

  • Installation Management :
  • Lead the installation of AV systems, including projectors, screens, displays, sound systems, control systems, and other related equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate installation schedules and ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Technical Expertise :
  • Perform complex AV system configurations and calibrations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues and provide technical support during and after installation.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
  • Leadership :
  • Supervise and mentor junior AV technicians and installation teams.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on new equipment and installation techniques.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Customer Interaction :
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their AV needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and prepare detailed project proposals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support during and after installations.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, including equipment lists, configuration settings, and system diagrams.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on installation progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and order supplies as needed.
