The University Union on the campus of Sac State is seeking to hire a student to serve as the Event Services Attendant. In this role you will work continually with faculty, staff, students, and the community to schedule meetings and events using event scheduling software.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc.
is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc.
or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
UEI does not allow employees to hold more than one UEI Job at a time, or work in more than one college or center per pay period.
UEI employees who are considering leaving their current UEI Student assistant position for a different UEI student assistant positing should inform their supervisor in writing and provide at least a week’s notice.
Depending on the type of position you are applying for, a pre-employment background check consisting of one or more of the following may be conducted : employment history, professional references, criminal check, educational verification (degree, license, or official transcript), or driver clearance.
Applicants will be required to pass required pre-employment checks to the satisfaction of University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) and the hiring Agency or Department.
Prerequisites
Students working at the University Union or The WELL must be attending classes at Sacramento State during the regular term (Fall, Spring), and enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) semester units for undergraduate students or six (6) semester units for graduate students.

Work Schedule
Varied schedule with some nights and weekends required. Schedule is dependent on events.
Additional Work Schedule
Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 20 hours per work week (Sunday Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per work week during breaks;
winter, spring & summer).
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be responsible, dependable and able to perform duties with little direct supervision.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule although we will work around class schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with sound and / or lighting system is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for taking care of customers within our larger event spaces and will have to deal with operating audio-visual equipment during events at the University Union.
- Equipment to be operated includes : built-in lighting and sound systems, projection systems, spotlights, and a portable sound system with 24 channel mixer.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
