Job Title : Inventory Control Specialist
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 : 30 PM
No overtime during the week; potential for Saturday overtime with manager approval if workload demands.
Work Environment :
You will work in a temperature-controlled facility, including dry, cooler (40°ree;F), and freezer (0-10°ree;F) sections.
Daily tasks will require movement between all areas. Protective gear, including gloves and jackets, will be provided.
Required Footwear :
Steel toe shoes are mandatory for this position.
Equipment :
No personal equipment required.
Interview Process :
Interviews will be conducted in person.
Top Skills Required :
- Basic Math Skills : Ability to perform basic calculations, such as determining the number of layers on a pallet for cycle counting.
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction via email and in person.
- Computer Skills : Proficient in entering data into inventory systems; training will be provided on our specific software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform cycle counts in all three areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with email communication and documentation.
- Provide support for will call coverage as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory balances and ensure optimal service levels for customers.
- Record all daily inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner to uphold stock balance integrity.
- Resolve monthly reconciling items thoroughly and promptly.
- Conduct physical inventories accurately within established timelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
- 0-3 years of experience in inventory management or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 lbs.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Reporting Structure :
Reports directly to the manager or supervisor.
