Description
POSITION SUMMARY : Assessesand treats neuromusculoskeletal & cardiorespiratory systems byphysical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function thathas been impaired by injury or disease, for pain management and forpromotion of mobility and health as prescribed by the referringphysician.
Is responsible for developing, implementing andmonitoring the plan of care for the person served. Performs anddirects administration of all physical therapy modalities &collaborates throughout the process with the patient and theirfamily and the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Doctorate,Masters, Bachelors or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure& BLS certification required.
SKILLS : Demonstratesaccountability and skills in assessment / evaluation, decision-makingand time management. Should have strong interpersonal, verbal andwritten communication and organizational skills.
EXPERIENCE : Nonerequired.

Works in a clean, well lighted,ventilated smoke-free environment. Potential exposure tocommunicable diseases, combative patients and hazardous chemicals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Goodphysical condition. Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standingand walking. Lifts, positions, and transfers patients andmanipulates occupied equipment.
Lifts supplies or equipment up to50 lbs. Potential strains resulting from lifting heavy patients andequipment.
