PositionOverview :
The StructuralFabrication Supervisor will play an essential role in overseeingand coordinating the activities of workers involved in thefabrication and assembly of structural products.
This role requiresexpertise in welding blueprint reading and metal properties pairedwith strong leadership abilities. As the company continues toexpand this position offers significant growth potential forindividuals passionate about fabrication and seeking to advancetheir careers in a dynamic environment.
Candidates can choose towork either 1st or 2nd shift based on availability.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the activities ofworkers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of structuralproducts.
- Analyze work orders and blueprints todetermine materials operations and sequence of operationsrequired.
- Requisition materials and ensureefficient use to meet production goals.
- Inspectwork in progress and finished products to ensure they meet thehighest quality standards.
- Perform weldingtasks using arc gasshielded arc submerged arc or gas weldingequipment.
- Assemble parts by bolting andperform repairs by dismantling reshaping and reassemblingparts.
- Operate shop cranes forklifts and otherequipment as needed to support production.
- Usesound judgment in managing employee productivity attendance andother issues fostering a positive workenvironment.
- Follow and enforce companypolicies and quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalentrequired.
- 5 years of experience in structuralfabrication or a related field.
- Advancedwelding capabilities with qualifications in FCAW GMAW andSMAW.
- Advanced blueprint reading andcomprehension skills.
- Strong leadership andcommunication abilities.
- Ability to operateshop cranes and forklifts.
- Must be able to lift75 pounds with assistance and push / pull 50pounds.
- Availability to work either 1st or 2ndshift with the ability to work overtime asrequired.
