Within Gartner's Corporate Marketing group, the Marketing Solutions Sr. Project Manager (MSSPM) is responsible for delivering on-target, in-scope, on-brand delivery of the Global Technology Sales (GTS) Marketing team's prioritized initiatives as defined via dedicated teams planning sessions and communicated by the GTS Marketing Solutions Lead.

The MSSPM role requires outstanding project management, organization, and communication skills.

The MSSPM will coordinate closely with the GTS Marketing Solution Lead to understand which projects to deliver and when, they will also coordinate with the dedicated cross-functional team members to develop informed project plans, tasks and progress communication.

On a daily basis the Sr. Project Manager will deliver project status updates to the GTS Marketing Solutions Lead, attend the daily check-ins while also conduct project-specific meetings such as project kickoffs, workshops, reviews, and manage the project artifacts.

The Sr Project Manager will define the project process and ensure a seamless workflow through to delivery and optimization.

What you will do :

  • Deliver on GTS Marketing's prioritized projects and initiatives
  • Develop project schedule and workflows
  • Identify project requirements and technical feasibility
  • Manage key client interactions such as kick-offs, reviews, and business partner approvals to ensure timely project progress
  • Contributes to Pod roadmap development with project knowledge and resource capacity understanding
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Manage project timelines and key milestones to consistently meet or exceed client expectations
  • Review client change requests and respond with schedule, level of effort, and budget implications
  • Present creative executions and capture feedback
  • Represent the interests of the BU in interactions with cross-functional team members
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to leverage reuse of past materials or direct business partners to self-service opportunities
  • Deliver consistent project status communications to both BUs and dedicated team members.
  • Contribute to Marketing Solutions Lead analysis of campaign data and support determined optimizations
  • Collaborate with Marketing Solutions Lead to design new and optimize existing processes and contribute new ideas to process development and training
  • Lead breakout meetings with smaller groups of subject-matter-experts to run through statuses and next steps to ensure health of the project pipeline, escalating to Marketing Solutions lead when necessary.
  • Autonomously own and manage lower tier projects including relationship with junior business partners
  • Ensure all reports, milestones, and tasks are updated in project management tool for Marketing Solutions Lead
  • Manage day-to-day SME transitions between projects, escalate capacity concerns to Marketing Solutions Lead with proposed solutioning for C- and D- tiered projects
  • Manage workflows and deadlines involving freelance resources; escalate out-of-scope changes and requests to Marketing Solutions Lead and practice manager.

What you will need :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • 6 + years industry experience in project management
  • Excellent people and project management skills including project plan development
  • Excellent resource management skills
  • Knowledge of cross-function marketing areas of expertise (content, paid media, web, multimedia)
  • Knowledge and understanding of video production process preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Project management certification (e.g. CSM, CSP, PMP, SAFe).
  • Adobe Workfront experience
  • Marketing project management experience

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 130,500 USD.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
