Corporate Accountant
The Corporate Accountant position shares responsibility for the monthly and year-end preparation, analysis and reporting of the Company's consolidated financial statement results with end products that meet or exceed the expectations of the Board of Directors, senior management, other employees, shareholders and / or outside interests.
Related responsibilities are as follows :
Preparation of assigned schedules for the monthly corporate book of financial reports which consolidates financial information provided by business units for reporting to senior management.
Examples include, but are not limited to, operating statements, EBTIDA reports, balance sheet detail schedules, interest allocations, corporate staff allocations and ROIC reporting.
Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Complete periodic SOX testing and documentation reviews of controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of consolidated information.
Act as a liaison for Corporate Accounting for the accounting needs of the business groups as well as : Shared Services, Winfield Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, Internal Audit, FP&A, and other departments as needed.
Preparation of supporting schedules for the quarterly, interim, and year-end audits and serve as a contact for the external auditors and government surveys.
Other duties as needed.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting along with a minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience.
Public Accounting experience and CPA preferred along with experience with JD Edwards, Hyperion, and Blackline.
Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite. Excel required (pivot tables, v-look ups)
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills - both written and verbal - with all levels of leadership.
Must be detail-oriented with financial analysis.
This position is located in our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (Hybrid work arrangement each week). Virtual / remote work arrangements may be considered for qualified internal employees outside of Arden Hills, MN
