LACCD Safety Manager

We are currently looking for a Safety Manager (LACCD SAC 444 Reissued) for our contract with Los Angeles Community College District.

Location(s) : District Wide - Los Angeles County, CA Number of positions : 2 Salary Range : $104K - $118K Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Simplex is required.

This is an on-site, long term job. You must be in located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem. Minimum Required Qualifications : Minimum 10 years of experience in construction safety Minimum 5 years of managing multiple projects in different stages of construction at multiple jobsite locations Minimum 5 years field experience as Construction Safety Consultant working with General Contractors and Subcontractors Minimum 5 years of experience working with OCIP Minimum of 5 years of experience with DSA Minimum of 5 years of experience with Safety Management for Public Sector Construction.

Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER - (include copy of certificate in resume package) Current OSHA 500 (Trainer in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry) - (include copy of certificate in resume package) Current First Aid / CPR / AED Certification - (include copy of certificate in resume package) Minimum of holding a valid Safety Management Specialist (SMS) certificate issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certificate issued by the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) - (include copy of certificate in resume package) Proficiency with Microsoft office and related spreadsheet and database software Preferred Qualifications : Construction management, safety management, safety engineer or related degree is preferred Experience on modernization-type projects involving asbestos and lead-based paint disturbance Extensive knowledge and experience with senior safety management with large building programs across multiple sites Additional safety / health certifications and credentials as appropriate for this position Compensation : The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
