Job Summary :
Maarif School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to help maintain the cleanliness and safety of our campus.
As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our school provides a welcoming and healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities will include a variety of cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, and shampooing carpets, along with light maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and emptying trash.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust surfaces, and empty trash cans daily
- Regularly clean windows, shampoo carpets, and restock restroom supplies
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and addressing small repairs
- Handle spills and other hazards promptly to ensure the safety of students and staff
- Secure the building by locking doors and ensuring all areas are properly cleaned at the end of the day
- Report cleaning activities and notify the manager of any significant repairs needed
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services, preferably in a school or similar environment
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from work
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies
- Excellent stamina and physical health to perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hard-working attitude
