Job Description

Aerojet Rocketdyne segment of L3Harris, is seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team at our Canoga Park, CA facility. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in the field of metrology, with a strong background in precision measurement, calibration, and quality assurance. The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems and instruments used in our manufacturing and quality control processes.

Essential Functions

• Maintain metrology processes and systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurements.
• Perform calibration and validation of measurement instruments and systems and maintain procedures for others to follow.
• Analyze measurement data and provide technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve measurement-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, with knowledge on ISO 17025.
• Maintain detailed records of calibration, validation, and maintenance activities.
• Continuously improve metrology processes and systems through research and implementation of new technologies and methodologies.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
