  • Schedule : Flexible Schedule, Mon-Fri 7 : 00A-3 : 30P OR Four 10 hour shifts. May be required to cover some evenings and / or weekend shifts on occasion.

  • Salary : $79,705.60 - $119,558.40

Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors including applicable licenses, certifications, education, experience, location, qualifications and comparison with associates in similar roles.

Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical, quality, evidence-based practice and patient safety expert. Develop caregivers in specific clinical areas in collaboration with clinical leaders.

Drive nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

  • Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and supports caregivers to improve outcomes.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development in identifying gaps and developing plans to improve professional growth, skills and competencies.
  • Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality / patient safety data with a focus on using data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order

sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.

  • Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devises strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
  • Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school / college of nursing required.

Work Experience :

  • 2 years applicable experience required.
  • 5 years preferred.

Additional Preferences

Previous RN educator experience

Experience in Maternal Child Health

Previous experience with quality improvement and patient experience

5+ years of L & D experience
