Job Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at a premier fine dining establishment.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a strong leadership presence. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service, and our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Management :
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of service, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Manage and coordinate front-of-house activities, including reservations, guest seating, and table turnover.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Staff Leadership & Development :
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure they deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and guidance to support staff development and improvement.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Guest Experience :
- Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Cultivate relationships with regular guests and VIPs, ensuring personalized and memorable dining experiences.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback, both in-person and online, to continually improve service quality.
Financial Management :
- Assist in managing the restaurant’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue, including upselling and promotional activities.
Marketing & Events :
- Collaborate with the General Manager and marketing team to develop and execute promotional events and campaigns.
- Assist in managing private dining events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including wine and spirits knowledge.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Sommelier certification or advanced wine knowledge.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
