Assistant General Manager

Job Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at a premier fine dining establishment.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a strong leadership presence. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service, and our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Management :

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of service, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Manage and coordinate front-of-house activities, including reservations, guest seating, and table turnover.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Staff Leadership & Development :

• Lead, motivate, and mentor the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure they deliver exceptional service.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and guidance to support staff development and improvement.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

Guest Experience :

• Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
• Cultivate relationships with regular guests and VIPs, ensuring personalized and memorable dining experiences.
• Monitor and respond to guest feedback, both in-person and online, to continually improve service quality.

Financial Management :

• Assist in managing the restaurant’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue, including upselling and promotional activities.

Marketing & Events :

• Collaborate with the General Manager and marketing team to develop and execute promotional events and campaigns.
• Assist in managing private dining events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including wine and spirits knowledge.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Sommelier certification or advanced wine knowledge.
• Experience in event planning and execution.
