Director of Business Development
Job Summary
Director of Business Development Responsibilities :
- Reports Directly to the General Manager
- Build relationships with key decision makers in major accounts to define needs and identify new business opportunities.
- Prospect calls to regional / national corporations and federal government agencies.
- Create proposals that support client's training objectives.
- Create team-selling environment.
- Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings to determine strategic fit and interest.
- Identify opportunities to gain a competitive edge against global competitors.
- Actively participate in select industry membership organizations.
- Self-managed local and national travel to fulfill position targets.
Director of Business Development Qualification :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality industry with high volume
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices
- Knowledge of Opera software and other relevant sales technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs
