Day to Day :
The Sustainability Engineering and Long-Term Planning group is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with strong project management and communications skills to support various efforts led by the group.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Lead projects related to Environmental Sustainability, such as the Organics Program and Biosolids Recycling. - Manage and support teams NPDES permit renewal effort for the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility.
- Coordinate with various departments in gathering information to support technical engineering evaluations.
- Develop, manage, and assist with implementing the teams agreements with external agencies.
- Provide technical assistance in developing rates and fees for the team
- Research and gather technical information to make detailed analyses to support the client's programs.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, memos, and presentations.
- Supervise, mentor, train, and develop staff.
- Direct and review the work products of staff
Desired Skill Set :
Willing to obtain Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in CA before duration of the contract ends
- 4+ years of PE experience
- Strong experience working with multiple disciplines and departments
- General knowledge of environmental sustainability with strong sustainability mindset
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, IBM Maximo, etc) Strong communicator with the ability to work proactively
Compensation : $57.27 / hr to $65.00 / hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access.
