We are hiring an Assistant Property Manager at VA 402, a 118-unit, multi-family residential property located on the VA campus in West Los Angeles, CA.
We train our staff and provide both mentorship and support to foster professional career growth from this position to the Property Manager role.

TSA is dedicated to being a part of the solution to end homelessness in Los Angeles and is proud to be part of a historic effort to transform the West LA VA campus into a supportive, vibrant, and sustainable community of approximately 1,200 permanent supportive housing (PSH) apartments.
Building 402 will be comprised of 50 No Place Like Home units (designated for Veterans living with a mental illness and experiencing homelessness) and 68 units designated for the general Veteran population experiencing homelessness.
All applicants will be referred through U.S. VETS.
All units will be supported by social service professionals who will work on-site to help Veterans retain their housing and thrive in the community.
PSH is an evidence-based intervention for chronically homeless households that combines rental assistance with supportive services.
It allows vulnerable individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and who are living with chronic mental and physical disabilities to live as independently as possible while also providing help.
- Regular full-time schedule is Monday- Friday with flexible starting and end times.

Responsibilities :
- Answering phones and responding to resident and applicant inquiries
- Coordinating resident activities and assisting in editing monthly newsletters to create a warm community environment
- Retaining resident files and conducting income certifications according to program guidelines
- Collaborating with maintenance staff to ensure work orders and projects are completed in a timely manner to preserve the property in a beautiful condition
- Assisting the Property Manager with marketing, leasing, and certification paperwork to maintain a 100% occupancy rate
- Maintaining resident relations in compliance with Occupancy and Fair Housing guidelines
Experience and Skills :
- High School diploma / GED required. College degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience preferred.
- Customer Service experience required
- Experience with Section 8 and / or Tax Credit affordable housing programs preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Fair Housing laws preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficient in speaking Spanish / Armenian Preferred
- Warm, outgoing personality
