About the Job
The Hardware Resources division is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team and become a key contributor to our continued rapid growth.
This is a pure sales role. Sales representatives are responsible for managing an assigned territory while meeting and exceeding sales goals, increasing both top line revenue and company profitability across three sales channels.
You will be accountable for aggressive growth in sales in both existing customers and new prospects. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, persistent and committed to adding value to customers.
To be successful, you will operate your territory as an entrepreneur with passion, discipline, and with the guidance from our team of experienced industry leaders.
The ideal candidate for this position would be located in Salt Lake City Utah area. Territory covers all of Utah and Southern Idaho,
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent and promote Hardware Resources brands and the value we represent across a range of manufacturing, retail and related channels.
- Prepare action plans to identify and aggressively pursue specific prospects in your territory.
- Effectively present company products to existing and new customers.
- Negotiate pricing, adding value to our customer while also maintaining a healthy pricing structure for the company.
- Retain and increase market share over our competitors.
- Participate in various incentive programs to achieve specific sales initiatives related to new products, as well as introducing new products to existing customers.
- Maintain personal ownership and accountability over the success of your territory.
- Approach each day with an entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to meet your personal financial goals.
- Overnight travel in the territory to be 50%
Skill & Knowledge Requirements
- Professional sales skills and the understanding of selling processes.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to relate to multiple levels and functions within customer organizations.
- Strong negotiating skills with a focus on maintaining strong margins and profitable relationships.
- Strong influence and collaboration skills, including demonstrated ability to coordinate work effectively with an inside sales partner.
- Exceptional work drive, money motivation and entrepreneurial passion for sales.
- Basic business acumen in order to analyze and discuss customer operations.
- Acumen to proficiently incorporate proprietary CRM tools into their selling processes.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of the construction cycle and hardware (preferred).
Qualifications
- Industry experience in the cabinet or cabinet hardware industry preferred
- Prior business to business industrial, construction or building supply sales
- Excellent sales and closing skills as well as problem-solving capabilities
- Above-average skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good oral and written communicator
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Applicable industry experience may also be considered. Sales and Territory Management experience preferred.
Pay range and compensation package
FSLA Status : Salaried Exempt
