Alaska Marine Lines is looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for coordinating with operations to plan and facilitate the accomplishment of preventative maintenance and repairs for all Alaska Marine Lines facilities and any assigned projects.
This is a safety sensitive position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform and review inspections of marine terminals and equipment.- - Field and respond to requests for maintenance from remote terminals.
- Plan, estimate and get approval for facility repairs identified from inspection reports.- - Issue and approve PO for facility repairs.
- Provide guidance in the operation and maintenance of facilities and marine structures including; pavements, buildings and rail marine terminal utilities.
- Produce documents including drawings and specifications for maintenance and operation of marine terminals.- - Prepare cost estimates and time schedules for proposed maintenance activities and projects at the budget phase and throughout project.
