General Summary :
The Dollar General Corporate Events teams executes over 100 events annually ranging in size and scope. The ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior interested in event planning and execution with the ability to be in Nashville area during the summer.
Our largest annual event is scheduled for July 27 - August 2 and preference will be given to those candidates who are able to work through August 2.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the corporate events team in the planning and execution of various events and projects
- Assist in the preparation of event related materials
- Participate in event planning meetings and site visits
- Draft event communications
- Provide on-site event support as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with events or desire to learn more about the event industry
Work Experience & / or Education :
- Rising college junior or senior
- Ability to work at the Store Support Center in Goodlettsville, TN (Nashville area)
- Availability through August 3
