POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, CRM Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive customer lifecycle engagement, retention, and growth across the Alterra Mountain Company family of destinations and the Ikon Pass ski and snowboard season pass platform.

This role will oversee the entire customer marketing database (CDP) and will spearhead scalable direct marketing campaign journeys via email, SMS, push notifications, in-app content, direct mail, and shared mail programs.

Reporting to the VP, Digital Growth and Engagement, this role will direct an internal team of direct reports and extended team members, as well as be accountable for the work of key agency partners and a large, enterprise budget.

This role will integrate with an extensive cross-functional peer group across marketing, IT, resort operations, and executive leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a best-in-class 1-year and 5-year customer marketing strategy that drives customer acquisition and retention, drives loyalty, lifetime value, and achieves company OKRs
  • Direct the CRM team, which includes managers and specialists dedicated to tech platforms, marketing channels, and key marketing programs and campaigns
  • Oversee the CRM budget including agency support, identify and facilitate opportunities for implementing technological and organizational efficiencies
  • Build customer journey roadmaps to drive channel growth and to support product launches
  • Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams that integrate with CRM growth strategy, especially brand marketing, IT, legal, and mountain operations
  • Accountable for performance dashboards and key insights to continually optimize and future-proof our customer marketing lifecycle strategy
  • Stay abreast of changes in digital technology, identify best practices, and bring new opportunities and ideas to fruition

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10-15 years of experience in strategic design and implementation of measurable marketing programs
  • Proven leadership and team oversight resulting in high performance
  • Hands on experience in email marketing and CRM / CDP platforms. Experience with Acoustic or Adobe Marketing Cloud a plus.
  • Ability to sell ideas through creative, innovative, and cohesive marketing materials
  • Experience developing data-driven marketing strategies
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong ability to execute in a functionally organized company
  • Proven track record of influencing people and processes outside of immediate work group
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Analytic approach to business - know the numbers and use them to drive decision-making

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree required in a related field : marketing, communications, database management, data science, journalism

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and / or necessary travel.

The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range : $127,000 - $184,000 per year
