Description
As the Manager, Global Quality Management Systems, you will provide leadership and direction regarding the Global Quality Management System.
This role will help the manufacturing sites and supporting locations exceed our customer expectations by designing and deploying Standardized Global Quality Management System.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operations Leadership Execution
- Establish, and implement Global Axalta QMS Standard, including roles and responsibilities.
- Manage all Global Quality Standards in a way that ensures : Effective review / update process and version control.Easily accessible to all need-to-know personnel.
Simple and standardized format / organization.
- Develop, and deploy Quality planning processes designed to identify and reduce quality risk.
- Manage software to ensure Quality processes can be managed in an effective and efficient way, as well that Quality data is provided in a meaningful and actionable way.
- Develop, and manage Global Quality Maturity Audit process in a way that ensures : Simple and standardized audit checklist.
Effective auditing process incl. performance / risk-based audit prioritization.
- Develop, and manage Global Quality Management Review process.
- Manage implementation of new quality management system standards into Axalta, by working with the different sites and functions.
Incl. gap analysis and compliancy plan.
- Develop, manage, and refine a process to globally track certification and customer audits, including non-conformity handling, and leveraging learnings.
- Develop, and manage global process incl. repository for review of customer specific requirements. Those customer specific requirements can be in any form e.
g., as quality requirements in a contract.
- Establish, and implement global standardized quality document hierarchy with clear purpose and definition.
- Own the global document control system; develops and implements value-adding approach to document control and documentation in general.
- Manage Q Training packages (Aspire).
People and Talent Management
- Utilize performance management processes and tools to engage and encourage optimal employee performance.
- Engage employees in career development planning and support their growth. Identify and develop a pipeline of future management talent.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among Quality members that allows for respectful disagreement over ideas, expeditious conflict resolution and the appreciation of diversity, as well as cohesiveness and supportiveness to work together effectively and enable employees and the department to succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 10 years of experience in Quality leadership or related Manufacturing Leadership roles.
- Experience successfully leading Quality to year-over-year improvement, developing innovative Quality concepts and building a results-oriented organization.
- Good understanding of quality standards, policies and processes.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 30% travel required.
Preferred
- Scientific or chemical engineering degree preferred.
- ASQ, CQMA, CQME or similar certifications preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma training or belts preferred.
- Experiencing holding direct responsibility for Quality within a company recognized for best-in-class operational performance, by successfully using Lean, Six Sigma and / or other advanced supply chain principles preferred.
- Experience with the requirements and expectations of the IATF 16949 Quality Management system and ISO standards a plus.
- implementing ISO or IATF a plus
- Managerial experience preferred.
- Experience creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations.
- Automotive industry or GMP experience a plus.
- Able to work and influence collaboratively and effectively within a global and diverse population and achieve results.
- A systemic thinker who possesses strong communication skills.
