Job Title : English / Spanish Employee Support Interpreter
Location : Jefferson City, MO
Duration : 06 Months
Mainly for our 3rd shift 11 : 30 pm – 7 : 30 am but flexibility for other shifts is needed.
The Spanish / English Employee Support Translator will provide accurate and timely translation and interpretation services to support manufacturing operations, ensuring clear communication between Spanish and English speaking employees, supervisors and management. This role is critical for promoting workplace safety, quality, and efficiency by bridging language gaps in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from Spanish to English or English to Spanish.
- Translate work instructions between supervisor and employees.
- Ability to have interpersonal communication.
- Accuracy in translation is a must.
- Be able to pay attention to details.
- Be proficient in software tools related to tasks at hand.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Should have the ability to meet deadlines and be able to work under pressure.
- Be able to relay the tone and style of the original language.
- Render spoken messages clearly, accurately, and quickly.
- Possess the ability to concentrate while others are moving or speaking around them.
- Must be sensitive to cultural expectations and differences amongst employees.
- Ability to listen carefully when interpreting for audiences to ensure they hear and interpret correctly.
- Desire to grow within manufacturing.
Qualifications :
3 or more years in translation experience preferredFluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.Possess great understanding of grammar.Experience in manufacturing industry. (Preferred but willing to train.)Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing facility (exposure to noise, machinery, PPE required)Must be able to stand, walk and communicate effectively for extended periods of time
