We are a growing biotech company based in Silicon Valley, looking for a Contract Specialist to join our Legal Team, reporting directly to the Legal Operations Manager.

The selected candidate will join a dedicated team of legal professionals, tasked with delivering top-quality legal solutions to our business issues while leveraging technology to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in-house counsel and General Counsel with various aspects of the legal contract management process.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts.
  • Drive and facilitate the contract drafting and approval process.
  • Review contracts for expiration and renewals and work with business partners to ensure timely renewals.
  • Analyze current business state and provide recommendations for improving contracts administration workflow process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inquiries relating to contract negotiation status.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including state filing for corporate governance and completion of annual insurance filings.
  • Conduct necessary research to support state licensing efforts.
  • Support the Legal Department with various ad-hoc duties to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors' degree.
  • Minimum three years of contract level management experience, preferably in a life sciences or technology company.
  • Proficient skills in using contract management and other records management systems such as HighQ and Evisort.
  • Solid experience in contract drafting and negotiating.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with demonstrated capability to prioritize and manage competing projects.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, and AdobeSign.
  • Knowledge of using and maintaining a contract management system.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Paralegal certificate or Juris Doctor degree.
  • Experience with corporate governance work.
