Location Bangor, ME

Description The Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET) - Imaging Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex imaging equipment used in medical diagnostics and treatment. The role requires in-depth knowledge of imaging technologies, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of imaging equipment, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound machines. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with imaging equipment, employing advanced technical skills.
• Ensure all imaging equipment meets industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and technical support teams for equipment updates, recalls, and technical guidance.
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new imaging equipment.
• Manage projects related to the installation, upgrade, and decommissioning of imaging equipment.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to imaging equipment maintenance and safety.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Provide additional support to BMET Staff, as needed.
• Support inventory management and tracking of imaging equipment.
• Assist in risk assessment and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Support documentation and compliance efforts related to imaging equipment service history.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 50% throughout State of Maine as required.
