Job Description :
We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to collaborate with our team in our latest endeavor : migrating a PostgreSQL EC2 instance to RDS PostgreSQL 15 or higher.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to handle complex migrations to AWS.

Responsibilities :
- Lead the migration project from PostgreSQL on EC2 to RDS PostgreSQL 15 or higher.
- Analyze existing database architecture and propose improvements for the migration process
- Develop and implement data deletion strategies for removing outdated data
- Collaborate with the tech leads to address challenges
- Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process
- Provide guidance and support to the team during the migration and post-migration phases
Key Requirements :
- Extensive AWS Experience : Proven track record with AWS platform, RDS, EC2, and storage requirements. Must be able to hit the ground running without a learning curve.
- Familiarity with older PostgreSQL versions, particularly understanding index management changes that may impact migration.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with our team.
- Capable of analyzing the database environment and recommending optimal solutions during migration.
- Strong understanding of database backup planning and familiarity with AWS storage options within RDS.
- Previous experience upgrading databases with large datasets is advantageous.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field would be of great value, but if you’re passionate and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent outweighs degree every time. AP Perks :
