Conestoga is looking for individuals with a desire to share their passion for community and fun! Special Interest Recreation Assistants and Leaders are responsible for various general interest programming including : Kids Night Out, Family Trivia Night, Birthday Parties, and more!
General Interest Recreation Leaders are typically scheduled 8-15 hours per week; shifts available primarily in the evenings on weekdays and weekends with cross-training for a variety of Conestoga positions such as Front Desk Support, Gym Monitors, and other center positions.
Available Positions and Duties
- Support Conestoga's General Interest programs, fostering an inclusive, enjoyable, and satisfying atmosphere for all participants.
- Assist in leading recreational activities, supervise program participants, and ensure the safety of the classroom or activity area.
- Promote a positive experience for participants through professional and courteous behavior.
- Prepare program activity areas, ensuring the safety of the classroom or activity space.
- Conduct cleanup in the classroom or activity area, return equipment to storage, and secure the space at the end of each shift.
- Promote diversity and respect in the workplace.
Pay Rate Range : $17.65 - $18.18 hourly

- Help coordinate Conestoga's General Interest programs, fostering an inclusive, fun, and satisfying atmosphere for all participants.
- Actively engage with program participants in both classroom and outdoor settings, both on and offsite.
- Provide leadership to other part-time staff.
- Create a positive experience for patrons through professional and courteous behavior.
- Ensure the safety of program participants, co-workers, and the public by adhering to District policies. If necessary, provide first aid.
- Set up program activity areas, ensuring the safety of the classroom or activity space.
- Conduct cleanup in the classroom or activity area, return equipment to storage, and secure the space at the end of each work shift.
- Promote diversity and respect in the workplace.
Pay Rate Range : $18.22 - $19.93 hourly depending on experience
