RAPP Chicago is looking for a Data Architect to join our award-winning Technology team.
YOUR ROLE :
As Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining & maintaining the overall Data Architecture for Marketing Technology Platform.
You will interface with product and cross functional teams to align on design and implementation for integration with various data sources, data analytics and data science initiatives.
You will devise, maintain, and govern data design, data integration and data publishing patterns. This will include process definition and governance of data access, data storage and data security to meet the compliance needs for the client.
You will be expected to provide functional and technical solutions that allow implementation of interactive, data-driven marketing workflows.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for overall data architecture for all areas and domains of the enterprise, including data acquisition, data warehouse, data provisioning, and data distribution.
- Data modeling, designing, implementing, and performance management of data management initiatives.
- Interface with Clients and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and functional requirements that they need addressed.
- Conduct analysis of Client’s existing Data / MarTech Architecture, identify gaps and propose a strategic roadmap of application / workflow / tool changes that address these gaps.
- Lead analysis of marketing data and recommend data integration into Campaign and Analytics Management Systems.
- Analyze Non-Functional requirements pertaining to Data Architecture that the system should support and collaborate with delivery teams on implementation.
- Implement database technologies and design and implementation of enterprise-level data modeling / data architecture of data warehousing and the support of business intelligence initiatives.
- Define and document data integration, access and security patterns.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 12+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years working in Data Architecture roles.
- Demonstrated experience of working with Relational, NoSQL, Vector Database technologies in AWS (other)cloud environments.
- Strong experience in Technical / Functional design and Data Architecture.
- Experience with Data Analytics and mapping it to Marketing Campaigns.
- Solutions-oriented, Collaborative, and with great people skills.
- Detail oriented, organized, and with ability to meet deadlines while working several projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in Data Architecture and Data Governance.
- Strong documentation skills (source-to-target mappings, CDM, LDM, PDM, etc.).
- Expertise in designing data solutions on AWS Redshift, DynamoDB and similar technologies.
- Demonstrate experience with data quality, security and consistency on cloud database.
- Comfortable with designing the database, data models, data processes, and data warehouse applications using best practices and tools.
- Rich Experience of designing and implementation of database models (LDM & PDM), data flow diagrams, database schema, DB scripts.
- Experience with Performance Tuning for database implementations.
- US Citizens only. US Security Clearance a plus.
- Hybrid work schedule. Preferably commutable distance to Chicago office location.
PREFERRED :
Experience working in a MarTech environment supporting Email / SMS Marketing Campaigns and Data Driven Decisioning Workflows.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to : skill set, experience and training, certifications;
etc. This is an exempt position.
