As a Pricing Strategy Manager, you will be part of the Pricing Centre of Excellence (PCoE) which is responsible for :
- Developing value-based pricing strategies and frameworks to drive revenue and margin growth
- Managing pricing through the delivery and execution of strategies and frameworks
Specifically, your role includes :
- Influencing, defining, and managing the successful design and development of Thomson Reuters pricing approach across our product portfolio
- Supporting and executing the development of pricing strategies, focusing on creation and execution of new and innovative pricing models and price setting of products and packages
- Supporting the Pricing Director to assess pricing needs of Thomson Reuters customer segments, to define opportunities for pricing improvement through analysis and to monitor the execution of pricing strategies that support go-to-market activities
- Partnering closely with Commercial Excellence, Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure we effectively implement our pricing strategies, delivery pricing through tools / calculators and identify metrics to determine performance of pricing changes
- Defining, communicating, and implementing best practices across the pricing organization and training our analysts to employ those best practices
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Pricing Strategy Manager , you will :
- Lead communication, plan and supervise end-to-end pricing initiatives related to price setting, price execution and price management, helping Pricing Director to establish a best-in-class pricing excellence function for specific portfolio
- Support the Pricing Director to develop programs and initiatives to grow / defend margin and avoid margin leakage at the deal level and throughout the customer lifecycle, working with regional and segment commercial leaders, as well as Finance
- Support the digital sales channel strategy and establish digital pricing and commercial models with that identify optimal pricing levels informed by customer needs, benchmark analysis, revenue optimization and risk mitigation considerations
- Supervise pricing analytics and price operations, by influencing and helping the pricing team and related partner to define analytics and structures to be performed or created
- Monitor and report on pricing strategies, working collaboratively across Product, Finance and GTM teams and assess performance against goals
- Define and conduct pricing analyses to inform pricing strategy for new, renew and upsell / cross-sell offerings.
- Create models to assess price elasticity, feature / price trade-offs, and identify opportunities to optimise pricing to increase profitability
- Manage the definition, execution and maintenance of price books, pricing policies and discount guidelines and ensure these are effectively delivered through the various teams and systems at TR
- Define, monitor, and report on the effectiveness of annual price increases, discounting guidelines and governance frameworks across products
- Provide objective analysis on the impact of pricing decisions and collaborate across functions to design and develop pricing metrics to measure performance
- Provide support and training for Pricing Analysts and encourage best practices across the Pricing CoE
About You
You're a fit for the role of Pricing Strategy Manager if your background includes :
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B pricing, with experience with pricing transformation projects.
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Professional pricing certification (such as CPP) is a plus.
