Job Overview

The PlantManager is tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient operation ofthe facility. This role involves supervising daytoday activitiesdeveloping staff managing equipment and material costs maintainingbudgets improving productivity and ensuring compliance with safetyquality and risk management standards.

The Plant Manager will alsoengage with customer relations coordinate with corporate functionsand oversee general operations management.

Position Responsibilities

Safety andCompliance :

  • Maintaina clean and safe plant environment.
  • Ensure aninjuryfree workplace through proactive engagement training goodpractices and risk elimination.

OperationalLeadership :

  • Manageand lead the facility’s operating system.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Logistics and Purchasingteams to meet customer needs.
  • Improve safetyrecords by addressing physical and behavioral safetyaspects.

ProductionManagement :

  • Planorganize and oversee production and maintenanceoperations.
  • Maximize asset utilization andminimize manufacturing costs through effective use ofresources.

ContinuousImprovement :

  • Driveattainment of business objectives and productionschedules.
  • Implement production strategies andaction plans aligning with facility's strategicinitiatives.

Environmental and RegulatoryOversight :

  • Overseeenvironmental compliance.
  • Establish controlsand procedures to adhere to regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with regulatoryagencies.

CulturalLeadership :

  • Cultivatea culture focused on safety efficiency accountability and customerawareness.
  • Encourage employee involvement incontinuous process improvement.

Accountability and PerformanceManagement :

  • Set groupand individual accountabilities across plantdepartments.
  • Promote new techniques anddatadriven decisionmaking.

Budget and CostControl :

  • Managespending in accordance with budgetary constraints.
  • Adjust budget and staff utilization based on productionvolume.

Project Management :

  • Ensure effective planning design andimplementation of capital and expense projects.
  • Oversee maintenance of site equipment andinfrastructure.

Collaboration with SeniorManagement :

  • Regularlyconfer with senior management to meet production objectives andbusiness goals.
  • Manage direct and indirectreports set performance expectations and facilitate professionaldevelopment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business AdministrationOperations Management or a related field (MBApreferred).
  • 5 years of experience in a seniorleadership role within a manufacturing or productionenvironment.
  • Proven leadership skills with theability to coach manage and inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent interpersonal andcommunication abilities.
  • Ability to managecompeting priorities and lead teams to success.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite(Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Strong timemanagement and multitasking abilities.
  • Highemotional intelligence for managing customer and employeeinteractions.
