Join the Facilities Management team as a Delivery & Mover Worker where you can be a part of a team working toward sustainability, recycling, and remodeling efforts for the University.

The Delivery & Mover Worker position is responsible for driving university vehicle / truck to pick up and transport large recycling bins;

moves / delivers furniture, office items and / or packages throughout the university campus. Initially, the primary responsibility of this role will be focused on our recycling efforts to include the loading, pick-up and delivery, and unloading, of large bins of cardboard recycling from around campus to our recycling drop off location.

We are in need of a dependable, safety minded, individual who can efficiently utilize moving skills and be adept at communicating with others in sometimes stressful situations.

The successful candidate will be dependable, have great attendance, will focus on safety, be efficient in moving skills, and have strong communication with customers.

Use of 14 foot box trucks and operation of lift gates to load and unload items required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.

The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience preferred, but not required
• Must have a current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years and no major violations within the last 5 years
• Experience driving 14 foot box trucks or similar type of vehicle.
• CDL preferred but not required
