Position Description and Responsibilities :

The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Health Professions is looking to hire a post-doctoral fellow to assist with a funded 4-year research study to develop a measure of prosthetic attention for use in persons with limb loss.

This position is a restricted position, and is contingent upon grant funding for continuing employment.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the following responsibilities :

  • Managing the day-to-day operationsof the project under the guidance of study PI
  • Collection and analysis of participant data and assist indissemination of project results
  • Supervision of aGraduate Research Assistant and will be responsible for
  • Assisting withadditional research activities including maintaining Human Subjects approvalsand coordinating with the Research Study Coordinator and clinical staff toidentify and schedule participants.

Required Qualifications :

  • Must beeligible to work in the
  • Must havecompleted a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a health-sciences related disciplineby July 1, 2022.
  • Excellentwriting skills required, as evidenced by publications or grant writingexperience
  • Must possess strong self-motivation,problem-solving ability, and open communication.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experienceworking with individuals with lower limb loss.
  • Experiencewith mixed methods research designs.
