Look after our customers in the West Coast Region
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be providing a vital service by evaluating chemical solutions primarily around fluid separation, implementing programs and troubleshooting systems.
You will take ownership of the projects to ensure they have the service needed to operate in a safe and compliant manner.
You will be supporting our customer’s needs across the Western Region.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for :
Providing support to our customers for our fluid separation product line which involves technical selling and product evaluations
Diagnosing production system issues and supporting customer through to successful resolution
Visiting customers with sales and engineering representatives to deliver technical presentations and reports
Leading and conducting new business field surveys, associated product qualification analyses and new program transitions
Troubleshooting production issues and providing technical support for facility and flow diagnostics as well as determining the root cause of the issue
Developing and implementing new technology to improve profitability for our customers and Baker Hughes
The salary range for this position is 96,400.00 - 179,000.00 USD
USD if employed in California.
Pay scale for CA is effective January 1, 2023

To be successful in this role you will :
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical discipline
5+ years oilfield production chemicals experience working with a variety of chemical applications including Technical Field Work and working in a Lab
Solid Communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers, and technical team members.
Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with customers and teams across the business
Professional Writing skills.
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to manage data sets and analyze
Must have people skills and be able to present and conduct meetings with customers
Self-starter, independent, and not requiring micromanagement.
Must be a strong team player willing to bond / network with high caliber technical team.
Willing and able to travel overnight for work up to 25% of the time
5+ years experience working with in the oil and gas industry in a technical field role (preferred)
5+ years experience providing expertise to oil and gas clients. (preferred)
Strong background in Chemistry or Engineering. (preferred)

The annual pay scale for this position is between $96,400.00 - $179,000.00.
