The Director, Investor Relations reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the CFO. This role is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of a successful investor relations strategic plan for the Company, interacting regularly with the executive team, and overseeing day-to-day management.

The Director provides critical leadership and information to help build awareness and understanding of the Company's objectives, strategies, and achievements among key audiences.

Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing the Company's investor relations corporate communications plan.
  • Identify and build relationships with targeted institutional investors and analysts.
  • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Develop written communications such as press releases and presentations, obtaining management / legal approvals as appropriate.
  • Schedule conference calls, webcasts, and manage face-to-face interactions with the financial community during investment conferences, road shows, and the Company's analyst day and stockholder meetings.
  • Develop and propose short- and long-term goals for the Investor Relations function in accordance with overall Company strategies.
  • Provide accurate, consistent, and timely responses to all external inquiries from investors, analysts, and media. Maintain knowledge of, and comply with, all relevant legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
  • Assist in managing the overall content of the Company's website, Intranet, and social media postings.
  • Actively participate, develop, and support the Company's ESG initiatives, activities, and programs.

Non-essential Role Responsibilities Include

  • Manage and optimize the network of suppliers that provide investor relations tools and resources to the Company.
  • Promote company culture and participate in employee activities.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required and / or Master's degree preferred in communications, business, and / or a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Eight to twelve years of relevant experience managing investor relations and corporate communications programs in a public biotech or pharmaceutical company.
  • Extensive experience working with executive management, superior skills in financial analysis, oral and written communication, and relationship building.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and technically savvy in social media including X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements.
  • Ability to present and respond to questions about complex scientific and clinical data.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge and fluency in biotechnology industry matters.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Compensation :
  • Salary range, dependent on experience : $185,000 - $215,000 yearly.
  • Annual incentive bonus.
  • Generous equity package.
