"Sweets" Counter Server

Job Type Full-time Description WORK, PLAY & ENJOY LIFE WITH HERITAGE "Sweets" Soda Fountain is a nod to nostalgia with a twist;

bringing fresh new vibes to Sawmill Market! The menu will feature a spin on classic drinks like flavored Italian sodas, spritzes, floats, and signature drinks.

It will also feature champagne on tap, curated candies by the pound, truffles, and French macrons. Full-time Hourly Position starting at $7.

20 DOE + tips plus benefits. Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Sawmill Market.

Essential Duties and Functions / Responsibilities / Tasks :

• Work under direction of Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.
• Communicate daily with restaurant leadership regarding job assignments and required timeframe.
• Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Passionately deliver refined, seamless service.
• Answer menu questions, and offer recommendations to guests to create a memorable dining experience.
• Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements are met for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Welcome guests to the unique dinning experience.
• Articulate the story, inspiration, and culinary mindset of the space to our guests.
• Respond to guest challenges and find the appropriate resolution in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of café register space.
• Handle all checks and cash according to procedures; accurately prepare tip reporting paperwork on time.
• Attend required training sessions or meetings.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Ability to work on your feet in humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
• Must be able to lift / push / reach for / carry 15+ pounds frequently.
• Comfort with learning a point of sale systems.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
• 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and / or fine dining experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience / training.
