Electrician, East Longmeadow, MA

What You'll Do :

• Ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment by completing inspection, testing, and PM requirements
• Must be able to work safely around all mechanical equipment (lock out / tag out procedures, confined space procedures, etc.)
• Locate sources of problems by listening to and observing the operation of electrical equipment using PLC programs, precision measuring equipment, tools and deductive logic
• Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling and reassembling the equipment in proper configuration
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust electrical parts, equipment and machinery to obtain proper operating conditions
• Examine parts for defects such as opens, shorts, insulation breakdowns, wear, burns or breakage to determine underlying cause and effect of machine performance
• Adjust functional parameters or programs to obtain desired machine operational results
• Provide electrical maintenance information by answering questions, filling out reports, analyzing information, and keeping track of consumed parts and supplies
• Contributes to the Maintenance team by accomplishing other tasks as needed
• Know and follow all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHEC, NFPA, NEC standards and company procedures

• Become Forklift Certified

To be successful, you will need :

• Degree / Certification in Electrical or Electronics Technology program
• 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industrial environment required
• In-depth knowledge of PLCs, relay logic controls, and AC / DC drives required (preferably Siemens but not required)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

We are currently seeking to hire an Electrician for our East Longmeadow Plant in East Longmeadow, MA . Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties for on-site equipment.
