Position summary :
Maintaining a clean and healthful environment by utilizing proper laundering procedures to ensure clean and sanitary personal and communal articles.
Essential Functions :
- Collect, wash, dry, and fold residents’ and communal laundry on a scheduled basis. Return laundry to proper owner / department.
- Practice safe infection control procedures including cross-contamination of personal artifacts.
- Safely follow cleaning products and chemicals directions of usage. Be aware of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Keep laundry carts and equipment clean and in working order. Promptly notify manager of needed repairs.
- Keep laundry machines clean and free of lint and debris.
- Keep laundry room and linen storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Attend all required orientation / training and staff meetings.
- Use proper protective equipment when necessary.
Non Essential Functions :
- Assist in light housekeeping task when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills.
