Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks in and around the building, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Diagnose and repair building systems and equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for building maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants.
- Maintain the exterior of the building if not serviced by a contractor.
- Log and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, materials used, and inspections.
- Assist in managing the maintenance budget by sourcing cost-effective solutions and tracking expenses.
- Operate computerized Energy Management systems.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and maintenance concerns
- Provide excellent customer service. Respond to fix requests / problems in a timely and courteous manner.
- Be available for rotating on call and after hours work requirements.
Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Licensed or journeyman electrician
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
- Safety mindset with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
