We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement Team l ocated in Atlanta, GA
About the role
As part of the Procurement Sourcing Team, the Sourcing Manager is responsible for handling end to end sourcing operations in strict alignment with UCB applicable processes, policies and procedures defined by Global Procurement Value Leads and in line with business priorities based on insights from Procurement Business Partners and requirements of the extended stakeholder eco-system.
Who’ll you’ll work with
Build solid relationships with the extended stakeholder eco-system to fully understand the business and their requirements.
Act as a link between the stakeholders and the rest of the Procurement Organization.
What you’ll do
- Manage and nurture selected suppliers relationships in alignment with the relevant Global Procurement Value Leads.
- Provide support to Procurement Value Leads with insights from sourcing experience and interactions with internal stakeholders and suppliers, for business strategies by providing market dynamics, benchmarking, assessment of competitive landscape and market intelligence.
- Assist on developing supplier segmentation based on anchor points expertise, analytics and market intelligence.
- Handle full RFI / RFQ processes with excellence using specified tools as per Procurement Value Strategies.
- Consider the market trends, the competitive landscape and the dynamics around the supply markets with the support of the spend leads to provide the best solutions for UCB.
- Perform commercial analysis of bids (Total Value optimization, business cases comparison). Provide sourcing recommendations to the appropriated governance bodies in close alignment with the procurement lead.
- In collaboration with the legal department, set up contractual agreements ensuring appropriate company protection (risk analysis KPI setting).
- Negotiate terms & conditions with suppliers.
- Move beyond traditional Procurement metrics and scope and include understanding customers’ strategies to identify capabilities which can be contracted from 3rd parties to strengthen the execution of their strategies.
- Accountable for relationship management with selected suppliers as an outcome of the segmentation exercise.
- Responsible for establishing and leading vendor teams accordingly.
- Proficient usage of UCB procurement digital solutions (e-sourcing, dashboards, ERP, )
- Ensure when making sourcing recommendation that sustainability is part of the selection criteria, is embedded into contracts and reinforced through commercial leverage.
- Support Initiatives in the areas of Risk Management, Sustainability, DE&I, Digital Transformation, Global Internal Audit remediation plans, etc.
- Comply with existing regulatory requirements and guidelines for all Compliance and GxP activities.

- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10 years of Purchasing experience
- Strong financial and commercial exposure
- Bilingual in English & Spanish / Portugese strongly preferred
- Prior experience supporting global procurement operations within Latin America strongly preferred
Expected Salary Range : $100,600 132,100 based on experience.
Please note : UCB’s offered salary will take into account individual candidate qualifications and / or candidate location and may fall outside the expected range.
