Because this role involves a combination of collaborative / in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
BAE System’s Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business area has an exciting opportunity for a Program Director II to lead a fast-paced, complex development program.
Known as Drop 13, the program forms a part of the larger F-35 Block 4 Electronic Warfare Modernization effort. Drop 13 completes the Block 4 modernized hardware baseline, provides transformational capability improvements to the Warfighter, and cuts into production at rate with the largest manufacturing program in Electronic Systems.
Reporting to the Senior Director for the F-35 Mission Systems, this role will be based at our location in Manchester, NH.

Responsibilities :

Manage internal and external reporting

Interact frequently with senior-level executives, customers, and associate contractors concerning projects, operational decisions, contracts, and strategies
Cultivate customer relationships to drive high levels of customer satisfaction and confidence
Coordinate across the EW Mission Systems organization and with other affected ECS stakeholders
Provide leadership for new business development, capture strategies, and proposals
Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence;
lead through inspiration and encouragement to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall team optimization

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle
- Provide proactive cross function leadership of a key strategic portfolio to achieve customer commitments and business growth expectations.
- Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio leading by example and driving program performance excellence.
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and customers.
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
- Business acumen mindset, awareness within and outside the business
- Ability to hold yourself and others accountable
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proven performance delivering on commitments in complex environments
Successful record leading and managing large EMD programs with systems, hardware, software, and firmware development, including transition to production at rate
Experience establishing and building customer and stakeholder relationships; collaborates within and across organizational boundaries, breaking down barriers and finding common ground
Experience providing executive level briefings on project status and recommendations
Solid understanding and experience with risk and opportunity management, defense contract types, and with collaborating with Finance to apply Earned Value Management techniques
Experience integrating scope, schedule, budget for successful execution of program objectives
Experience operating, allocating resources, and prioritizing effectively in limited timeframes
Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others in a dynamic environment
DoD Secret clearance and ability to attain special access clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $164000 - $278800
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
