Security Specialist

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Security Specialist to support the AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) professional support services contract at the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) facility in Moorestown, NJ .

Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of classified material.

Typical Responsibilities : Support Command Security Manager for personnel security, information security and physical security.

Responsible for all AEGIS TECHREP document control including receiving and processing incoming mission essential materials, recording new material in document control system, creating transmittals, properly wrapping material for transfer, safeguarding, couriering, and classified / unclassified destruction.

Responsible for maintaining AEGIS TECHREP classified central archive and document library. Perform annual inventories of all material and maintain transient safe for incoming / outgoing items.

Safeguarding Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) room and monitoring personnel accessing secure space. Responsible for performing proper opening and closing procedures.

Perform end-of-day security checks for AEGIS TECHREP office spaces ensuring security protocols are properly following (lock offices, secure safes, secure classified, PII, CUI and FOUO information, identify unattended CACs).

Assist in creating and / or updating Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Instructions and Security Manuals. Location : Full time onsite at the Lockheed Martin RMS facility in Moorestown, NJ.

Typical Physical Activity : Primarily desk / computer work in an office environment. May involve : repetitive motion. Existing Security Clearance Required : This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance.

A qualified candidate must already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance. Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma / GED equivalent plus an additional five (5) years of applicable professional experience may be considered.

At least one (1) year of recent, relevant professional experience obtained in a US Navy / DoD environment. Experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.

Possess a valid state driver’s license. Proficient with common productivity software. Excellent communication skills. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
