BCI expects to fill one or more human factors engineering internship positions that begin in the summer of 2025 in support of ongoing programs and projects.
Internships may be either 3-month positions for summer 2025 or 6-month positions for summer / fall 2025. The work will be in support of surface navy or unmanned aviation programs alongside BCI's current staff of human factors engineering and operational subject matter experts.

Shift : Days 0800 - 1600
Experience Required :
This position requires both coursework and practical experience in human factors engineering or a related field (e.g., industrial engineering or experimental psychology).
Progress towards or completion of a graduate degree in human factors engineering or a related field is strongly desired.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience (including education) relevant to the description of duties is required. Candidates with prior task analysis, software usability, end-user based evaluations, and iterative software development process experience are preferred.
Description of Duties :
Duties will vary based upon the program(s) supported, but may include shipboard evaluation of installed systems and lighting conditions, iterative development and evaluation of user interface concepts, support for test and evaluation events of acquisition programs.
Travel Requirement (if any) : Limited local travel and potential visits to fleet concentration areas or test sites.
Security Clearance Requirements : Applicants must be US citizens. Project dependent : Applicants will be subjected to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
