We are looking for a dynamic, experienced person excited to jump into our hustling and bustling startup culture.

The ideal person is a team player who can build simple and elegant solutions to optimization and estimation problems involving expansive datasets and distributed systems, focusing on business performance at scale.

They should be comfortable working within a highly collaborative team environment, where you will work with data engineering, product, and marketing teams daily.

About Us

Peak Ventures drives customer growth to its informational sites and brands through its acquisition platform, looking for opportunities to refine user intent and provide them with ad-experiences that will be relevant to them.

Our data stack uses Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS to automate business decisions based on the latest market developments and intelligently attribute revenue to the correct sources.

Typical responsibilities of the team include building and maintaining models to optimize performance in rapidly changing environments, translating business requirements into actionable strategies and models, collaborating with marketers to identify and automate repetitive parts of their workflow, exploring datasets to find optimization opportunities, and presenting model results to stakeholders.

The Role

  • Assess business needs to recommend modeling techniques and solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering to set up robust modeling and decision-making pipelines.
  • Investigate data to better understand the advertising ecosystem and improve models.
  • Present findings to a variety of stakeholder teams, concisely explaining the results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You & Your Expertise

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing and recommending modeling approaches to improve business decisions..
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Pandas.
  • Strong knowledge of Data collection tools (SQL, Spark, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating solutions with remote team members.
  • Working experience in AdTech is a huge positive.
  • Working hours overlapping with 8am - 10am PST / PDT.
