Vaco Staffing is looking for a Revenue Manager for a global logistics company in Jacksonville.
Job Description- The Revenue Manager is a strong hands-on leader reporting directly to the SVP of Finance who will lead revenue recognition policy, processes and reporting
Responsibilities :
- Supervise staff activities by providing direction and guidance in work assignments and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Create and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to staff and management.
- Own the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the order-to-cash process
- Process cash applications for all customers and reconcile any discrepancies weekly
- Manage and maintain the monthly revenue (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, reporting) metrics, reports and reconciliation
- Work with Settlements to ensure alignment with revenue recognition and contractor / carrier expenses
- Develops, coaches and supports the revenue accounting team to maximize individual and team performance
- Formalize revenue recognition policies and procedures and communicate with the appropriate parties to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements
- Establish standard processes for new client onboarding to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of invoicing, accounting and reporting
- Identify opportunities and lead improvements in the invoicing processes to improve timeliness and accuracy
- Establish strong relationships with operational leaders to learn the business, ensure their understanding of their responsibilities within the invoicing process, and provide training as necessary
- Work closely with IT to develop standard data collection practices to support automated invoicing processes
- Ensure appropriate levels of documentation on invoicing processes to ensure business continuity
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- BA / BS degree in Accounting
- Experience and ability to analyze complex process flows and recommend, as well as implement, changes to improve staff efficiencies and results
- Ability to learn and effectively use software applications
- Experience and ability to manage and motivate employees to achieve objectives
- Experience and ability to interact with all levels of management within the organization
- Demonstrated competence in analytical techniques
- Experience and ability to prioritize and multi-task in high volume deadline driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion
