Purchasing Coordinator
Job Overview :
This position will work cross functionally with sales, production, warehouses, and customers to support the aggressive business growth strategies for True Temper Sports.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Ensures quality execution of all regular purchasing duties for Hockey / Golf / Marketing / 44
- Maintains complete updated purchasing records / data and pricing in the system
- Frequent communication with finance to ensure on time payments to vendors
- Coordinates with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of purchase orders
- Frequent report generation to provide timely information to management team
- Coordinates with credit department regarding customer / vendor setups
- Evaluating supplier performance
Required Skills / Experience :
1-3 years of experience in at least one of the following (sports goods industry strongly preferred) :
Demand planning
Inventory management
Customer service
- Ability to interact with multiple personalities and coordinate cross-functionally
- Highly organized individual who can ensure daily tasks and long-term objectives are accomplished
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Independent worker, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience and skills
- College degree, preferably in Business field
