Cardiac Surgery - Inpatient/Outpatient Physician Assistant

Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Physician Assistant to join its team.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in outpatient and inpatient settings to provide high quality care for a range of complex heart and vascular conditions.

Responsibilities will include surgical consultation, pre-operative workup, transitioning patients out of the ICU, managing post-operative patients in the cardiac stepdown unit, and coordinating discharge.

Candidate must have a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.

Schedule requirements are four shifts per week, with night and weekend coverage, as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience.

The MCVI performed the first adult heart transplant in Broward County and has an active VAD and Adult Heart Transplant program since 2014.

Memorial has the first accredited adult congenital heart program in the State of Florida and is the only ELSO Gold designated ECMO program in South Florida.
