The Corporate Deal Data Specialist is responsible for the review of term sheets and deal information, data entry into the deal data tracking database and generating routine analytical reports.
Open to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Washington DC, Boston, Colorado, Seattle, San Diego locations.
What you'll do :
- Create and maintain a system for cataloguing and tracking Companies practice group deals with both transactional and external data
- Leverage existing workflows for tracking of deal status from open to close
- Gather deal data from file management system, secretaries / practice team assistants and attorneys, where necessary
- Review and interpret complex term sheets to extract relevant data
- Interact with practitioners as needed for clarity on transactional details
- Input deal data into internal deal tracking software
- Draft regular progress reports to Practice Engagement Manager and Firm Leadership
- Review data on a monthly basis for inconsistencies and gaps to be remediated
- Serve as internal expert on data and database systems, assisting peers with locating, interpreting and analyzing data in support of business needs
What you'll bring : Required :
Required :
2+ years of direct-related experience as a paralegal or attorney working on Private Equity and Venture Financing transactions, specifically reviewing, and interpreting corporate term sheets and other corporate deal documents.
Alternatively, 2+ years of direct-related experience working in a law firm knowledge management or data analysis position providing data analysis and management for venture financings or other corporate transactions
Bachelor's Degree

Prior law firm or professional legal environment experience
