We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Business Intelligence & Data Management to join our Team.

You will be a key contributor to our sales enablement initiatives, creating and delivering sales materials, tools, and best practices that help our sales team achieve their goals.

You will develop, maintain, and communicate a re-envisioned suite of reporting to serve users in Sales, Finance, Data, and Operations.

You will work closely with senior business analysts, product managers, developers, and testers to analyze, design, test, and implement features and enhancements for our CRM system.

You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document requirements, provide feedback, and communicate progress.

This role is located in New York, NY, and eligible for a hybrid work.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Analyzes and optimizes sales processes, workflows, and pipelines within the CRM system.
  • Creates and manages CRM reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide insights and recommendations to the sales leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Leads a restructuring of existing and new reporting to support business needs.
  • Supports sales enablement initiatives by creating and delivering sales materials, tools, and best practices that align with our sales methodology and value proposition.
  • Develops and maintains CRM documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains BI and reporting tools and platforms that support the sales cycle and customer success.
  • Creates and delivers dashboards, reports, and presentations that showcase the value and impact of our products and services.
  • Collaborates with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to understand the business needs and requirements, and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Analyze and document business processes and requirements for CRM system features and enhancements.
  • Assist product managers in defining and prioritizing product backlog and user stories.
  • Work with developers and testers to ensure that the CRM system meets the business and technical specifications.
  • Provide CRM training and coaching to sales and customer-facing teams on how to use and interpret BI and reporting tools and data.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and provide regular updates on the status and progress of the CRM system.
  • Independently, conducts, coordinates, and analyzes internal data sets and market intelligence for internal clients; works with business unit managers to define reporting & analytic goals.
  • Independently designs automated workflows, data sets and visualizations / dashboards to meet internal client needs.
  • Analyzes, reconciles, troubleshoots and reviews incoming and outgoing data to ensure accurate performance / output.
  • Tests data quality and works directly with outside vendors to confirm they have all necessary information.
  • With minimal guidance, supports assigned area with advanced, complex data analyses and metric needs for assigned analytic tasks.
  • Leads data modeling, metric analysis and serves as resource to colleagues unfamiliar with particular specialized process or data sets.
  • Uses BI technology tools to conduct analyses; applies techniques and develop new automated workflows or dashboard visualizations, including SQL querying and macro development to extract data for populating databases.
  • As an advanced user, may do some light programming in order set up sophisticated algorithms, data workflows or build new complex data sets and dashboards.
  • Processes pre-defined data workflows to update existing dashboard reporting or to provide updated data sets to market data vendors and ensures the quality and accurate delivery / transfer of test and production files.
  • Analyzes and monitors data / reports to ensure quality of and accurate transfer, integration, translation, and reporting of data, reacting promptly to data quality statistics and client inquiries.
  • Based on analysis, executes moderately complex data fixes, resulting in improved performance or accuracy.
  • No direct reports. May provide work guidance to less experienced colleagues

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following :

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree in quantitative / STEM field preferred.
  • 5-9 years experience preferred.
  • Experience in quantitative or technology field and Investment management preferred.
  • Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred as is prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services or Account Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience working in a highly detail oriented environment, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, proven verbal and written communication skills are also preferred.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $73,100 and $135,700 per year at the commencement of employment.

However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
